Drummer Alvin Queen just released his new trio album Feeling Good. A laidback, subtle, but swinging album with Carlton Holmes on piano and Danton Boller on bass. Maybe Alvin is not the most well known name in jazz, but his cv reads like a book. A 63 years career, playing with some of the biggest name like Oscar Peterson, Grant Green, Horace Silver, Nina Simone, George Benson and so on.
